Terms & Conditions

These terms govern the use of the African Verified Shoppers marketplace operated by African Verified Shoppers ("AVS").

1. Marketplace role - AVS operates a marketplace connecting customers with verified independent sellers, and also sells its own products and services. Each order may contain items from multiple sellers; each seller is responsible for fulfilling their portion of your order.

2. Accounts - You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. Orders placed through your account are deemed authorised by you.

3. Pricing - Prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable unless stated otherwise. Prices are confirmed at checkout; obvious pricing errors may be corrected before dispatch.

4. Payment - Payments are processed securely by Paystack. We do not store card details.

5. Seller verification - Sellers displaying the "Verified Seller" badge have completed AVS verification. Verification reduces but does not eliminate risk; report concerns via a dispute.

6. Acceptable use - You may not misuse the platform, attempt fraud, or interfere with other users or sellers.
